What is Heart of the Kitchen?

At Heart of the Kitchen, we believe the kitchen is more than just a place to prepare food — it’s the heart of the home, where nourishment, connection, and transformation begin.

Founded with the mission to help individuals and families feel empowered and at ease in their own kitchens, our work blends practical nutrition with soulful, in-home support. Whether it’s reorganizing your pantry, planning intentional meals, or cooking side-by-side, our services are designed to meet you where you are — and help you thrive from the inside out.

Chef Angie Stewart

Angie’s love of cooking began in her childhood, growing up alongside her mother and grandmother, both devoted to making home-cooked meals for their families. “My mom planted the seed in my head at 19 that culinary school would be fun — then I could cook delicious food for everyone!” Inspired, Angie moved to San Francisco and attended Le Cordon Bleu, earning an associate’s degree in the culinary arts.

With a classically trained foundation, Angie has spent the past 16 years honing her skills and building confidence in the kitchen. “The kitchen has always been the most comfortable place to me. It’s where delicious smells come from, where comfort is found in times of distress, and where families and friends gather. The kitchen is the heart of it all.” And so, Heart of the Kitchen was born.

Angie brings a wide range of culinary experience, from gluten-free and dairy-free baking to vegan cooking and balanced, macro-conscious meals — all infused with the heart of French technique. “Cooking has always been a career for me, but at the end of the day, it’s my passion.” Her philosophy is simple: the best meals are created with basic, quality ingredients… and sometimes, a little creativity in a pinch!
